What is IFP®

The Islamic Financial Planner™ (IFP®) program represents a collaborative initiative between the Islamic Banking and Finance Institute Malaysia (IBFIM) and the Financial Planning Association of Malaysia (FPAM). The ownership of the IFP® mark is shared between FPAM and IBFIM. Within this partnership, FPAM assumes responsibility for marketing and membership affairs, while IBFIM oversees the development and periodic revision of the curriculum, as well as the administration of the necessary examinations.

Membership in this program affords numerous benefits. FPAM and IBFIM are actively engaged in initiatives aimed at enhancing awareness of Islamic financial planning through a range of public outreach programs. Simultaneously, members will have access to expanded knowledge and the opportunity to enhance their proficiency through pertinent continuing education (CE) courses in the future. It is imperative to recognize that Islamic financial planning, akin to conventional financial planning, constitutes a professional discipline rather than solely an academic qualification.

  • But most importantly, Islamic financial planning, like conventional financial planning, is a profession, not an academic qualification

How Can We Help You?

How can we Help Assist you?

Financial Planning is the process of meeting your life goals through the proper management of your finances. These goals may include buying a home, saving for your child’s education, starting a business or planning for comfortable retirement under conformity of Shariah.

IFP is a certificate that had been design by IBFIM and FPAM. We are a learning centre and the exam will be conducted by IBFIM and the certification will be by FPAM. Hence the IFP certification is recognized by BNM and SC.

    • A financial planner is someone who uses the financial planning process to draw-up a plan with an objective to meet your life goals. The planner takes a “big picture” view of your financial situation and make financial planning recommendations that are right for you. He takes into consideration all of your needs – budgeting, saving, taxes, zakat, investments, insurance and retirement planning. He can also work with you on a single financial issue but within the context of your overall financial situation.

    • This makes the financial planner different more comprehensive in his approach than other financial advisors who may be trained only on specific areas of your financial needs.

Please check on the minimum requirement section OR contact us if you need any further inquiry.
